Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 15: The unanimous re-election of Ravinder Raina as Jammu and Kashmir BJP President for another term will go a long way in strengthening the party and giving divisive forces an answer to their anti-national activities.
This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Executive Member, Raman Suri. He further said Ravinder Raina is a charismatic leader who has quite successfully served his previous tenure as Jammu and Kashmir BJP President. His tenure has seen all the successful elections- Lok Sabha Elections, Local Body Elections, Panchayat Elections, Block Development Council Elections. The biggest decision of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A also came during his tenure.
Raman Suri added, another term for a leader of the stature of Ravinder Raina is a blessing for the society, who has and will always work efficiently for the betterment of masses.
Raman Suri further said, five senior leaders from Jammu and Kashmir have been elected as Bharatiya Janata Party's National Council Members, which indicates party's desires to take seasoned leaders from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on board for larger responsibilities.
He added that these Organizational Elections are being conducted since last three months in the most disciplined manner, started from booth level, moving up to Mandal Presidents, District Presidents and J&K BJP President.
The five leaders elected as BJP's National Council Members are Priya Sethi representing Jammu-Poonch constituency, Shakti Parihar representing Udhampur-Doda constituency, Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir representing Srinagar constituency, Rafiq Wani representing Anantnag constituency and Mudassar Wani representing Baramulla constituency.
Raman Suri said that the election of these senior leaders to party's National Council Members establishes the fact that J&K's unit of BJP is going to play a major role in the coming days. He added, BJP has come a long way in establishing itself as the largest party of India and is a renowned nationalist party worldwide.
