Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 25: One of the senior politicians from south Kashmir, who was recently expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party, looks ahead to seek forgiveness from the PDP leadership so that he can join back the party.
Sources said the said leader who recently, after his release from detention had accompanied some “rebels” to call on the visiting foreign diplomats from 15 nations has made up his mind to join back the PDP.
Sources said the politician didn’t get “good feedback from his party cadres” in Pahalgam to have been rubbing shoulders with politicians who had been working allegedly against the interests of the PDP.
Sources said the said leader has conveyed to the PDP leadership that he was loyal to the party and that he should be “forgiven if his meeting with the foreign diplomats has hurt the sentiments of the party leadership.”
Sources said politician has been avoiding to attend calls from some senior politicians who wanted him to part ways with the PDP.
The politician looks ahead for a meeting with the party leadership to “clear doubts.” He is also believed to be looking ahead for appointment with some of the family members of the detained PDP leader and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. “He has been trying hard to talk to them on phone for clarification,” said a source privy to such deliberations.
He is likely to travel to Jammu in the coming days to hold negotiations with the PDP leaders there.
It is pertinent to mention that the said leader was seen among the loyalists of the Mufti family till his detention in the wake of the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Despite repeated attempts the said politician could not be contacted for comments.
