Police came into action after ET report, raided house where crime committed

Jammu, Feb 5: In alleged rape case with a woman during her Police custody, the Jammu Police came into action after Early Times yesterday’s report and a Police team reportedly raided the house where the crime was committed. However, the team misbehaved by the inmates of the house.
According to sources, the Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh took serious notice of the case. “The victim lady met the IGP Jammu, in his office yesterday (Tuesday), and narrated the cruelty of Policemen. IGP after hearing the lady sent her to DySP Headquarter, Shwetambri for further actions and also provided a vehicle to reach DySP office”, sources said, adding that the DySP Shwetambri listened to the victim and also sought a report from her counterpart in Doda. “However, the Doda Police has sent an adverse report in an attempt to shield the main culprits, as alleged by the victim lady, “a biased investigation by Doda Police”. Latter the case, through SDPO Jammu east forwarded to SHO Bagh-e-Bahu for further action”, they said.
“Finally, the lady went to Police Station, Bagh-e-Bahu with an application against the accused persons. The Police have started an investigation. On the basis of information provided by the victim lady, a Police team rushed to the house, where alleged rape was committed”, they said, adding that however, the inmates of the house misbehaved with Police team. “The lady, who according to victim intoxicated her to facilitate lust of the cop, abused the Police team”, they said, adding that, no case in this connection has been registered yet.
SHO Bage-Bahu when Sunil Sharma when contacted said, “The lady (victim) has logged a complaint and investigation have been started.”
