National Lok Adalat held, 402 cases settled across district

RAMBAN, Feb 8: National Lok Adalat was held today under the Chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramban, Kishore Kumar who is also the Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ramban in the District Court Complex Ramban.
Pertinent to mention here that six benches were constituted for amicable settlement of different types of cases referred by different Courts in the said National Lok Adalat.
The first bench was presided over by Chairman DLSA, Ramban and the 2nd bench was presided over by CJM, Ramban, Pardeep Kumar Sandhu who was assisted by Munsiff JMIC, Ramban, Junaid Imtayaz whereas 3rd bench was presided over by Tehsildar Batote who was assisted by Advocate Z.A Babbar while the 4th bench was presided over by Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Munsiff JMIC) Gool, Sarfaraz Nawaz, who was assisted by Tehsildar Gool.
Meantime 5th bench was presided over by Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Munsiff JMIC) Banihal, Fidha Hussain, and 6th bench was presided over by Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Munsiff JMIC) Ukhral, Imran Hussain Wani.
In the said National Lok Adalat 544 Cases of different nature were taken up out of which 402 cases were amicably settled through mediation and reconciliation. An award of Rs. 1, 10, 11,454/- was passed in MACT cases and Rs.12, 96,950/- was passed in different type of cases in the National Lok Adalat.
