DDC holds public grievance redressal camp at Kuntwara

KISHTWAR, Feb 9: District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana holds a public grievance redressal camp at Kuntwara with an aim to take stock of ground situation of far-off areas and to redress the grievances of people at their door step.
He was accompanied by BDC Chairperson, Drabshalla, Suraj Singh Parihar, Joint Director Planning Mohd. Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Amir Hussain, Executive Engineers, district officers besides Sarpanchs, Panchs, senior citizens and scores of people participated in the camp.
The people of the area welcomed DDC and hailed him for putting extra ordinary efforts in clearing all bottle necks for completing Kuntwara bridge over river Chenab. The villagers said that the completion of this bridge will open new era of developmental activities and progress in their area.
During the camp, BDC Chairperson, Drabshalla and Sarpanchs, besides public of the area apprised DDC about several grievances/ problems faced by them and urged immediate redressal of the pending grievances and their demands including upgradation of High School Bhatkoot to HSS, upgradation of primary school Shandri to Middle School besides upgradation of MS Ohli and MS Haddar to High school, opening of veterinary dispensary, opening of Health centre, slow pace on roads works in the area, lack of vaccination, dearth of staff in key departments, Grid Receiving station for Kuntwara area, dilapidated condition of GMS Bhatkoot functioning only in two rooms, demanded Sheep/Animal Husbandry Centre at Bhatkoot, special recruitment drives in Kuntwara area, construction of community Hall near Shandri Mandir.
DDC directed CEO Kishtwar to submit the feasibility report for upgradation of various schools at an earliest. Besides CAHO/DSHO were directed to submit feasibility report for opening of veterinary dispensary in the area.
Executive Engineer Hydraulic was directed to submit the status report of water supply scheme and Executive Engineer EM&RE was directed to remove the wooden poles in Sagroo Panchayat and ensure the completion of all pending works under B2V programme.
Regarding the absenteeism of one Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Dr. Munbeen Saroori of Sheep Husbandry posted at Nagbhatna was suspended by DDC.
DDC further asked the Sarpanchs to check the attendance and functioning of government offices besides warned all the officers to remain punctual in their respective place of posting and mitigate the sufferings of poor and rural masses and any laxity in this part shall be dealt strictly.
He further called upon the general public especially youth to come forward and adopt scientific methods in cattle rearing, agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming, apiculture sector, and poultry to uplift socio-economic conditions of the rural poor.
He directed all the officers of key departments to hold regular awareness camps for poor rural masses at grass root level.
