Jammu, Feb 10: Hockey J&K UT Championship 2020 (Men) is being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu w. e. f. 10.2.2020. This championship is being organized on league basis.12 teams from all over the J&K UT are participating in this championship . 4 matches on league basis will be played daily. Mottoof this championship is 'Say no to banned drugs an substances '. The winner trophy isVK Kohli trophy and runners up is sham Lal Sharma trophy. The championship inaugurated on 10.2.2020 at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu by noted industrialist Mr. Rajeev Sharma. Speaking on the occasion he said that Hockey is our national game and we ruled the world of Hockey. Nowadays Hockey in India is in lack luster for various reasons. Sponsorers are not coming forward to support the game. And the game is becoming costlier day by day. New talent is also not joining the game. He further added that J&K government should come forward for searching the hidden talents. He appealed the business fertinity to come forward and support Hockey . Rajinder Singh Kuku Senior Vice President Hockey J&K and General Secretary Hockey India said that for the first time the championship will be played under the supervision of umpires sent by Hockey India to conduct the championship. He informed that for the first time in the history of J&K , Hockey J&K UT Championship for women will be organized soon after completion of this championship. |
