Jammu Blue to clash with Poonch in Hockey championship final

JAMMU, Feb 13: In a Jammu and Kashmir UT Championship which is being organised by Hockey J&K, two semi finals were downplayed on Thursday as Jammu Blue and Poonch qualified for finals.
The championship is being organized on league basis.12 teams from all over the J&K UT are participating in this championship.
4 matches on league basis were played daily with a moto “Say no to banned drugs and substances '.
The teams are competing for winner trophy VK Kohli trophy and runners up sh.Sham Lal Sharma trophy.
1st semi final of the day was won by Poonch defeating Baramulla by a comfortable margin of 6 goals to zero. Matinder Pal Singh wearing jersey no. 6 scored 2 goals in 4th & 58th minute of game. Mukesh Kumar scored in 13th minute of game.
Agrim Raina scored goal in 29th, minutes of game. Salil Raina scored goal in 51st minute of game, Jagmeet Singh scored in 39th minute of game, whereas Baramulla failed to open account.
In 2nd Semifinal match of day Jammu Blue outplayed Jammu Red with a margin of 7 goals to 2. Maganjot Singh scored 4 goals for Jammu Blue in 8th, 13th, 36th, 53rd minute of game .
Suraj Malik scored 3 goals in 28th, 42nd,55th minute of game for Jammu Blue. Whereas, Hridey scored 2 goals in 23rd & 38th minute of game for Jammu Red.
Umpire for the match include Brajesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar Salim, Manish Kumar from HI . Technical team including Gurmeet Kour ,Anjali , Talib Hussain.
The finals were played on Friday between Poonch and Jammu Blue at 2.30 PM at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu.
