Bethal Church registers wins in 3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship 2/19/2020 8:46:11 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb.19: Bethal Church Jammu registered great win against St.Paul Church in an super over and entered in the semifinal of ongoing “3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship” at Alexander Memorial School Ground Jammu which is being organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu under the supervision of Fr. Kuriakose President Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Rajesh Gill President Christian Sports Organization Jammu whereas the conduct committee of the championship includes Edwin Khokher, William Mattoo, Johnson Gill, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Griffan Gill, Sunny Gill, Amit, Asif Paul Gill and Mithu. The slogan of the Championship is “Be Healthy- stay away from drugs” and main objective of the event is to involve the Christian Youths in sports activities so that they may not involve in drugs and can live a healthy life. In today’s match Bethal Church Jammu defeated St.Paul Church by 4 runs in a super over. Batting first St.Paul Church Jammu scored 152 runs in the allotted 12 Overs by losing 9 wickets. Ravi Manchanda 46 runs, Monty 41 runs and Monu 14 runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Sahil took 4 wickets, Ajay took 2 wicket while Nathaniel,Sunil and Max claimed 1 wicket each. In reply Bethel Church also managed to score 152 runs by losing 7 wickets thus match ended in tie. Nikhil 30,Munna 20,Sahil 19 and Perry 17 runs were the main scorer.From bowling Ravi took 3 wickets, Sunil took 2 wickets while Monty took 1 wicket. Thereafter in a super over batting first Bethal Church scored 22 runs with Nikhil 12 and Munna 10 and in reply St.Paul Church managed to score 18 runs thus lost the match by 4 runs. Sahil declared man of the match for his alround performance.
