Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Feb 24: In 2011, a lady was engaged as Safai Karamchari in the ICDS Project Tangdar in Kupwara district but another person was fraudulently appointed on the same position in 2012 in the same project.
The family of the lady Safai Karamchari has moved from pillar to post for justice, but till date the concerned department has failed to provide the justice to the eligible one.
“There are many fake appointments in the ICDS department, for which people had made complaints with the higher authorities but due to best reasons known to them, the department concerned has failed to take any appropriate action against the officials,” said sources while sharing details with Early Times.
Sources said that husband of Kaleeda Begum (Safai Karamchari at CDPO Tangdar), Shabir Ahmad Lone gave a written complaint to SDM Tangdar Karnah.
“Complaint against some official of twin project of ICDS Karnah viz, Khursheed Ahmad Sr, clerk Farooq Ahmad Mir, clerk (both are brothers) and Mr Fayaz sb CDPO, regarding fraud appointment cheating with u/sd and looting of state exchequer of twin project of ICDS Karnah,” reads the complaint.
The complaint further reads, “Sir, with high regards and humble, I am approaching to your good office with request and complaint as under, that my wife namely Kaleeda Begum is appointed as Safai Karamchari in ICDS project Tangdar vide order no: ICDS/TGR/11/91-92 dated 25/6/2011.”
It further reads that, the above named two sr clerks who are real cousin brothers managed a fake order and appointed one Zahoor Ahmad Mir who is real brother of one clerk Farooq Mir and real cousin of Sr Clerk Khursheed Mir as Safai Karamchari in ICDS Project Tangdar vide order no: CDPO/ICDS/Tng/12/Esst/151-52 dated 16/04/2012.
“That in this context I approached to Hon’ble High Court for release of honorarium in favor of my wife who is working as Safai Karamchari, but the present CDPO who is residing in their home release the pay in favor of Zahoor Mir, while as he is also working in MES and drawing his pay from MES and at present he is working in M.E.S,” reads the complaint
The complaint also reads that when the complainant approached and protested before some higher-ups they (CDPO) make me fool and issued an order that none of above Safai Karamcharis was not allowed for work in the office till further order.
“But then the J&K Govt announced the package in favor of all the adhoc/daily wager employees of the state on the basis of biometric list the above twin clerks and CDPO enlisted the name of Zahoor Ahmad Mir and deleted the name of my wife,” reads the complaint.
Documents further reads that these official are continuously drawing the pay of Zahoor Mir as Safai Karamchari on the 50:50 share with CDPO these two brothers who are the Sr, Clerk of ICDS twin project of Karnah are posted here since last 20 years.
“That even one Sr Clerk, Khursheed Ahmad Mir is transferred but the CDPO and DPO are not reliving him from Karnah because he is helping and guiding them in looting of twin project of ICDS Karnah, these two clerks along with CDPO is day night looting the twin projects which you can verify. They are drawing the money on the name of their kith and kin. There are so many big frauds committed by these two brothers (Sr Clerk of twin project of ICDS Karnah) during last 20 years,” reads the complaint.
Complaint reads, “Keeping in view the above facts kindly do justice with me and take up my case with commissioner secretary of social welfare department and release pay in favour of my wife. I am enclosing all the relevant record for your kind consideration”.
