Sending resentment BJP delaying office bearers list
2/25/2020 11:34:53 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Feb 25: Pruning the number of office bearers by half, the Bharatiya Kanata Party is delaying release of list of it's new office bearers and State Executive.
The announcement of list was expected within a fortnight after election of Party chief for J&K whose appointment was made last month. But after a passage of over one month the party has failed to announce it's list of new executive and office bearers for J&K though aspirants for various posts in State Executive are waiting for the same anxiously.
Sources said party fears resentment among it's cadre in case the list is released because there are many aspirants for organisational posts after the dismissal of Government and dissolution of Assembly.
Sources said seeing chances of early elections in J&K bleak large number of party leaders are looking for their adjustment on organisational posts.
However with the pruning in number of office bearers the chances of fulfilling aspirations of all leaders seem very less, sources added.
Sources said party had created many posts of general secretaries , vice presidents and secretaries in the State unit of J&K and to accommodate the partymen on organisational posts to keep them engaged in party activities, the BJP had increased of number of office bearers moree than double.
Sources said the former national organisational general Secretary had taken lunient view of the same and he had allowed to exceeded the number of office bearers more that what has been prescribed by the party constitution.
Sources said however with the replacement of party national organisational general Secretary by new one who showed some strictness in this regard and issued directives to party leadership in the J&K that there should not be even one office bearer more than what has been prescribed by the party constitutio, sources added.
