JAMMU, Feb 26: Taking cognizance of the news item published in Early Times titled ‘Ayurvedic Dispensary Mallan Dessa in Doda without staff, people suffer’ in its February 22, 2020 edition, the health Department issued order of deployment of four doctors at dispensary periodically on same day.
As per order No ADMO/ISM/D/861-63 dated 22/02/2020, which was issued by the Assistant District Medical Officer Dr R K Shan, reads that in the interest of patient care following Medical Officers are here by directed to attend ISM Dispensary Malan for the period given in the order.
The order further reads that Dr Ikhlaq Hussain, who is presently posted at ISM Dispensary Gurmul will attend ISM Dispensary Malan on first week of the every month. Similarly, Dr Ravinder Kumar, presently posted at ISM Dispensary Mo

alla will give his service during second week of the month, Dr Kuljeet Kumar posted at ISM Dispensary Udhyanpur will attend on third week of month and Dr Shakir Hussain, posted at ISM Dispensary Bheja will attend ISM Dispensary Malan on last week of the month. The local residents of Malan hailed the Early Times for highlighting the public issue of the area due to which the department swung into action and deployed the four doctors for the dispensary.
Pertinently, Ayurvedic Dispensary Mallan Dessa in district Doda was functioning without Medical Officer and Pharmacist since 2017. Dispensary was established nearly 40 years ago in block Bhagwah of Doda district, which is presently in total deplorable condition. The dispensary covers three panchayats having population over 4500, huge rush in observed in the dispensary daily.
