Tehsildar Drabshalla foiled attempt to encroach state land, demolished Illegal construction

Jammu, Mar 31: As country along with Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is going through 21 days lockdown as an attempt to prevent the spread of deadly Corona Virus that has claimed the lives of nearly 40000 people and infecting around 9 lakh people world wide, some miscreants in Drabshalla Tehsil of Kishtwar District tried to encroach upon the government land acquired for development activities which was timely foiled by the local administration.
Talking to Early Times, Tehsildar Drabshalla Shohab Latief said that some miscreants try to take advantage of lockdown and encroach state land by raising illegal constructions.
He said that after receiving an information about the encroachment and illegal construction, he along with Naib Tehsildar Mohammad Ahsan, other revenue officials visited the spot and demolished the illegal construction. He said that the land encroacher has been warned and refrain from encroaching the land as well as from raising the construction which was going on in an acquired land at Kandini.
He said that all Chowkidars and Lamberdars have been instructed to report any such incident of encroachment without any fail. He said that FC Revenue Dr. Pawan Kotwal had issued clear cut directions to initiate action against land encroachers.
He also visited the different areas of tehsil Drabshalla including Dugga, Balgran, Chamoti, Kandini and listen to the public grievances and to ensure that the people living in far flung and unconnected areas of Tehsil Drabshalla did not suffer during lockdown.
Tehsildar concern also ensure the availability of essential commodities remain available to the people at nearby ration depots beside also check the availability of stock of essential commodities available in the area.
