Pattan Police books several shopkeepers for violation of lockdown

BARAMULLA, Apr 6: Police on Monday has booked several shopkeepers in Pattan town of this north Kashmir district for violation of lockdown. While as over 22 Covid-19 suspects from Tangmarg area have been tested negative and were allowed to go home on Monday and many villages have been declared as Red zones.
According to sources that police has arrested and booked several shopkeepers for violation of lockdown.
The accused persons were found intentionally defying prohibitory order again and again over Coronovirus and have also assembled large number of people in front of their shops which is likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life.
Police has registered cases bearing FIR No. 62/2020 & FIR No.63/2020 u/s 188,269 IPC in Police Station Pattan.
However sources further said that, over 22 Covid-19 suspects from Tangmarg area have been tested negative and were allowed to go home on Monday.
Over 22 people were quarantined in a hotel at Mangloora and Kunzar after a Covid-19 case surfaced in the area. All these suspected persons were tested and they turn out to be negative.
These people were today allowed to go to their homes as they are all Covid-19 free, said sources while quoting the official said.

e Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gulmarag, Shabier Ul Hassan has issued a circular vide his office no: SDM/G/2020/22-25 dated 06/04/2020 and implemented the directions of the District Magistrate vide order no: DBM/PS/COVID 19/67-73 dated 03/04.2020.
Various villages including Solanda, Chekthan, Chandilora, Hariwatnoo, Kampora, Gutlipora, Katipora, Qazipora, as Red Zones and has ordered that there shall be no inward or outward movement of any person or persons from these villages and people shall stay indoors as there will be complete lock down in these villages, said a circular.
It said that, any person/s groups, organizations found involved in breach of this order shall be booked under the law on the subject.
“While as it is enjoined upon all the officers/officials residing in the red zone areas not to attend their respective offices, however can work online, if the services are urgently required by his office and the sectoral officers/heads of the departments of this sub division shall strictly adhere to the direction of the district magistrate Baramulla and shall not force or allow any sub ordinate employees of red zone areas to attend their respective officers, while as the offices established in red zone areas shall also remained closed, reads a circular.
