Early Times Report

Poonch, May 15: Despite passage of seven days the SHO Mendhar failed to lodge an FIR against the culprits who attacked the field staff of Sub Division of PDD Mendhar and dismantled the LT network to get the electricity by illegal means. The inaction has led to scare among field staff.
The in-charge AEE PDD Mendhar Maqbool Ahmed alleged that even though the locals of Thera-Topa village have cut the main lines of power and fitted connected the wires illegally for their houses, but when AEE Maqbool Ahmed along with Junior Engineer (JE) Shahzad Ahmed and staff objected the said illegal acts of damaging the wires the locals attacked them and thrashed them as well.
But the issue not stopped here, the concerned AEE has penned down the entire distressed episode in his application for lodging FIR against the violators but it was frantic situation for him that after the lapse of seven days the concerned SHO failed to register the complain to book the violators and to instil the sense of security among the field staff.
While narrating his woeful episode media persons, he said that the matter is of very sad affair and the entire PDD office of sub division Mendhar is reeling under a fear-psycho and unable to discharge their duties.
He said that it is very unfortunate that a government official has been beaten crudely by locals however the concerned police station’s officer did not lodge an FIR till date.
He demanded to the concerned police station’s officer to lodge an immediate FIR against the attackers, otherwise, he will approach to higher authorities.
