UDHAMPUR, May 17: Continuing its offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Udhampur police recovered 7 grams of contraband substance heroin (chitta) at Shiv Nagar, Udhampur.
Giving details, Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that a party of Police Station (PS) Udhampur during patrolling at Shiv Nagar area caught two suspected persons for checking. Both the suspected persons were taken into custody and during their personal searches, 7 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from them. They were arrested on the spot and recovered heroin like substance was also seized.
The arrested duo was identified as Ajay Singh, son of Balbir Singh of Near MH Chowk, Udhampur and Mohinder Singh, son of Nihaal Singh of Near Ice Factory, Udhampur
In this connection, a Case FIR no. 197/2020 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up. |
