Early Times Report

RAJOURI, May 19: Despite the fact that the Supervisor post under the ICDS scheme in the Department of Social Welfare is district cadre, but still then at least four such officers of this district have been transferred to the Jammu district.
Sources told Early Times that an influential officer of the department managed to transfer these supervisors to the Jammu district in clear violation of the laid down rules and regulations. They said that the officer is calling the shots and the department is working at the whim of this particular officer.
“The officer while misusing his position at the office of Mission Director, ICDS first of all attached these supervisors with the office at Jammu and later on got them transferred to the Jammu district. These officers were selected few years back and they were expected to do their duty in the Rajouri district but that was not to be,” said sources.
Sources said that the officer who carried out this whole officer was a close confidante of the former Mission Director, ICDS and had received a huge sum for the transfer of the supervisors to the Jammu district. They said that although was in violation of the norms no action has been taken against him.
In the meantime the supervisors who are posted in this district have said that the ‘blue-eyed’ supervisors were transferred to Jammu for some benefit. They have demanded that the Vigilance carries out a probe in the whole matter so that action is taken and the supervisors are shifted back to Rajouri.
Despite repeated attempts, Mission Director ICDS Neetu Gupta did not pick up the phone
