Covid-19: DHS Jammu inspects facilities at DH Udhampur

JAMMU, MAY 20: On the directions of Financial Commissioner H&ME. Atal Dulloo, Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma along with Controller Stores Dr. Suresh Gupta and DNO QAP Dr. Vijay Raina, visited Covid Health Center Udhampur which has been created in a separate wing in the premises of District Hospital Udhampur and took stock of facilities there.
CMO Udhampur Dr. K.C Dogra and MS DH Udhampur Dr. Vijay Basnotra gave a detailed description of the facilities created in the hospitals in the District and other newly created establishments for COVID positive patients. DHS Jammu also took round of the various sections of the hospitals which included Trauma Section of the hospital where ICU wards have been established fully equipped with ventilator support facilities and Dialysis unit of DH Udhampur and was happy to see patients undergoing Dialysis there.
DHS also visited the sampling booth in DH Udhampur and directed MS Udhampur to give priority to pregnant ladies and elderly and sick patients and make them comfortable during sample collection. She also interacted with the staff, doctors and directed them to undertake all safety precautions while dealing with the Covid-19 positive patients. It is pertinent to mention here that DH Udhampur has started admission of Covid positive patients and 3 patients are already admitted in DCHC Udhampur.
Later, DHS visited the newly established Covid Care Centre in GNM School at Bailey, Udhampur. CMO Udhampur and District Health Officer also accompanied the Director who was satisfied with the preparations done there at war footing to accommodate the Covid positive patients if and when required.
On the way back, Director and team visited sample collection booth created at Government School Tikri and interacted with the staff available and BMO Tikri Dr. Manohar Lal. She appreciated the whole staff of district Udhampur for putting in hard work in the fight against Covid-19.
