HC extends closure of all access to court complexes in J&K, Ladakh

JAMMU, May 20: High Court of J&K today extended the closure of access to all court complexes in J&K UT and Ladakh including both wings of High Court till May 31 as preventive measure to contain spread of COVID-19.
In this connection a Full Court meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Justice and an order was issued by the Registrar General of J&K High Court. The courts were closed till May 20 which has ended yesterday.
Full Court has decided that the Circular Nos 10/GS, 11/GS, 13/GS, 14/GS, 15/GS and 16/GS shall continue to remain in force up to May 20. Previously order vide no. 1608/GS dated 3.5.2020 was issued by the Registrar General (Officiating) of J&K High Court pertaining to the closure of access to both wings of High Court and all court complexes in J&K and Ladakh UTs which was up to May 20, 2020 in view of preventive measure to contain spread of COVID-19.
Court has already issued such circulars on March 10, 13, 16, 20, 23 and March 29 in order to extend the closure of access to both wings of High Court in view of spread of COVID-19. JNF
