Police work out 2 cases of burglary

SAMBA, May 21: Police has worked out two burglary cases registered at Police Station Ramgarh and arrested 2 thieves besides affecting recovery of stolen readymade garments, expensive shoes, electronics goods and cash worth Rs 9150 from their possession.
On May 11, a written complainant was lodged by one person namely Happy Sharma, son of Purshotam Lal of Ramloo Brahmana and by one Purshotam Lal son of Late Gian Chand of Mahal Kalandrian at Police Station Ramgarh that some unknown thieves tried to burgle in their shops at Mahal Adda during the intervening night of May 10 and 11. The thieves damaged the shops, shutter, lock and also stolen CCTV cameras installed in front of the shop and requested for investigation into the complaint.
On this, a case FIR No. 51/2020 U/S 457/380/511 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramgarh and a team of police officers/officials was deputed to workout the case at the earliest. The Police team conducted raids in various suspicious areas and questioned number of suspects. During the course of investigation, Police zeroed in two suspects, namely Pankaj @ Panku son of Lt. Tara Chand and Vasu @ Shanu son of Lt. Som Dutt both residents of Sahazdpur Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba who were subjected to thorough questioning. During questioning, the suspects broke out and confessed in commissioning of burglary and damaging of shop.
On their further examination, the apprehended accused also pleaded guilty for their involvement in one such case on January 24 in which theft had taken place at the shop of one Akash Baloria, son of Surinder Singh of Shama Chak running a shop of readymade garments situated at lower Swankha Morh and in which connection case FIR No. 07/2020 U/S 457/380/IPC was also registered at Police Station Ramgarh.
On the disclosure of these apprehended accused, Police Party also recovered stolen items. Further investigation is going on.
