ASKPC condemns attack on Amar Koul temple | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: ASKPC has strongly deplored the recent attack on Amar Koul temple in Srinagar, which is one among the many symbols of Kashmiri Pandits religious identity, faith & deep cultural legacy, left behind in the Valley. Any act of terror or vandalism on the revered age old pillars of community identity, is a direct message by the violent forces as to their belief of religious intolerance and is an orchestration of the terror tactics enacted way back in 1990’s, this was stated by Advocate Ravinder Raina, President All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference. He appealed to the administration to take these incidents seriously, as repetition of these attacks has a direct bearing on the return & rehabilitation of the community in the valley of their birth. He further pointed out that as per Migrant property act, Deputy Commissioner of each district is the custodian of such property and wondered why the concerned DC of the districts do not initiate the legal & criminal process in such cases and force the displaced community in Jammu & elsewhere to raise these issues of vandalism & encroachments time and again. |
