YRS criticizes Govt for forcing state-subject holders to get domicile certificates | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 21: Lambasting the govt over the newly released domicile rules for J&K UT, Yuva Rajput Sabah (YRS) president Surinder Singh Gilli said that the existing people having state subjects of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir should be considered as domicile. Questioning the Modi Govt, Gilli said, "At a time when the whole country and the people of J&K are battling with Corona Virus, Government brings in this law when people’s energy is completely focused on protection from the Conona Virus. It is extremely unfortunate”. Gilli said that the new law grants domicile rights in Jammu and Kashmir to those who have lived in J&K for 15-years and to children of central government employees who have served in J&K for at least 10 years among others. The rules also reserve group-4 level jobs for domicile right holders. He alleged that central government has crushed the sentiments of the J-K youth and trampled upon their aspirations. The youth have been belittled and betrayed. He said that it was surprising to note that law has snatched rights of our children for gazette posts, as Home Minister of India promised that no one will be allowed from other states in-service and purchase of land. He alleged that the people of Jammu were hurt when they were reserved for forth class jobs. “Dogras have 200 years old proud history. We will not compromise out the rights of the people,” Gilli said. |
