Advisor Bhatnagar inspects development projects of R&B in Jammu city; directs for timely completion

JAMMU, June 23- Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, today conducted an extensive tour of Jammu city to inspect ongoing development projects being carried out by Roads and Buildings Department.
Advisor inspected the construction site of multi storey building and a double storey parking with basement of Government Degree College for Women, Parade Jammu besides other development works of the college. He directed the concerned officials for timely completion of these projects so that these can be utilised for public services at the earliest.
Advisor also inspected construction works at Bone and Joint Hospital, Bakshi Nagar wherein he was briefed about the status of ongoing projects by the concerned authorities. He instructed the officials to ensure adequate availability of workers and construction material for smooth execution of these vital works.
Later, Advisor Bhatnagar visited the Super Speciality Hospital and inspected the ongoing works on the State Cancer Institute.
Deputy Medical Superintendent of the Hospital briefed the Advisor about the progress on the works besides elaborating on the layout plan of the hospital.
Advisor impressed upon the concerned authorities to use quality materials and equipments in the construction and directed them to complete the project in a time bound manner so that better care for cancer patients can be provided in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Advisor visited the State Guest House and the Circuit House, Canal Road and inspected ongoing construction works of additional blocks there.
R&B Authorities briefed the Advisor regarding the works being carried out there informing that the work on three storey building structure is complete while as finishing work will be completed soon in Circuit House. Besides, 90 percent works at State Guest House have been completed and the additional works will be finished in a very short span of time, he added.
Advisor Bhatnagar also inspected the ongoing construction work at 100 Bedded Boys Hostel of the Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk.
The Advisor was given a detailed layout of different components of the building by the concerned agencies. He was informed that there are 343 rooms in the boy’s hostel with two guest rooms besides other components for utilities. He directed for proper maintenance of the campus.
The Advisor stressed upon the concerned authorities to make all efforts to complete these projects in time ensuring quality so that these can be commissioned at the earliest for the public.
