6/24/2020 10:27:31 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 24: Taking serious note of the decision of the UT administration to sanction scholarship for children of terrorists, Team Jammu today warned that such policies would prove disastrous for nation’s security.
In a statement issued here today, chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal expressed surprise over formulating this policy which is among 27 government services available online.
“Sanctioning scholarship for the children of terrorists, who had declared a war against the country, would encourage only anti-national forces”, Zorawar SinghJamwal said and observed that by launching such highly controversial scheme, UT administration was glorifying terrorists indulged in gruesome killings.
“The decision to provide scholarship to the children of those who fought against India after being killing security personnel is an insult to the forces who have been fighting proxy war being launched by Pakistan”, he said.

Jamwal further added that this decision of the UT administration constitutes a humiliating blow to all those youth of the state who are patriots and are without any source of livelihood or employment.
“By this single act, the government has demonstrated its total lack of empathy for the suffering unemployed youth”, he said and asked the government to withdraw its decision failing which the Team Jammu activists will intensify their protests. He also asked the BJP leaders of the UT to clear their stand on the issue.
