Scholarship to terrorists’ kids: BJP’s silence raises many questions
6/26/2020 11:33:29 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 26: Although political parties have started a campaign against decision of the Union Territory of J&K over an advertisement of the J&K UT administration where the kids of killed terrorists are being offered scholarships, the self-styled nationalist BJP leaders have maintained a criminal silence on this ‘reward’ to terrorists.
Always desperate to speak on national and international issues, none of the BJP leaders was ready to speak on this issue due to reasons only known to them.
Credible sources said that it was only directions from bigwigs that no leader was ready to speak on this issue.
The J&K government has come out with an advertisement on Wednesday to highlight steps taken towards good governance and making things easier for the people of J&K.
In point number 16, it has been mentioned in the advertisement that the Social Welfare Department has started a scheme to provide scholarship to the orphans of killed militants.
Panthers Party leader Harsh Dev Singh was right when he expressed anguish and deep shock over the recent advertisement highlighting 27 on-line services of the Social Welfare Department sponsored by the Central Govt.
He said it was shocking to see the government offering scholarships to the orphans of the killed militants. This amounted to humiliation of the martyrs and nationalists in J&K and was a bid to appease secessionist forces in Kashmir, he said.
BJP’s student wing ABVP has also lambasted the government for launching such policies to encourage terrorists.
