Jammu, June 28: The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Jammu sub-Center conducted its Annual General body Meeting (AGM) in online mode, today, on 28th June, 2020. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Prof. Parveen Kumar Lehana, Head, Department of Electronics, University of Jammu. Besides, approving the audited financial statement and activity report for 2019-20, the election of the office bearers of the Centre for 2020-2022 was also held. Dr. Pawanesh Abrol, Professor, Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu was unanimously elected as Honorary Chairman. Er. Vijay Sharma, and Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat were elected as Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer of IETE Jammu Centre, respectively.
Er. Samir Sharma, AE, PDD, J&K and MIETE who also acted as Returning Officer for the elections and Sh. Joy Ganjoo, FIETE were nominated as Vice-Chairmen of the centre.
The online meet was joined by Dr Sushil K Kaura, who acted as Observer for the conduct of AGM and Dr Subhash Chander Jain, both from IETE Chandigarh Centre.
Prof Rakesh Vaid, FIETE, Prof Lalit Sen Sharma, Maj. Gen S. K. Sharma (retd.), Dr. Suresh Rao, Dr. Radhika Khanna, Dr. Jyoti Mahajan, Mr. Jamini Sharma, Mr. Rajinder Tiwari, Dr. Ashok were among the prominent members who attended the meeting. |
