Hurriyat hawk accepts defeat
6/30/2020 12:04:24 AM
Hurriyat hawk, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, saying goodbye to his party Hurriyat Conference—which he headed for past many decades—is a big defeat for separatism and Pakistan sponsored propaganda in Kashmir.
Since 1990, Geelani and his supporters, preached separatism and sedition in Kashmir and sold illusions to people. Azadi shops which operated in Kashmir when terrorism was at its peaks minted money by turning people of Kashmir into cannon fodder. People like Geelani have brough nothing except death and devastation for the people of the Valley.
The Hurriyat hawk, who has not been keeping well, for a long time has not mentioned any particular reason for him saying goodbye to his party, but many people believe that separatism has become irrelevant in Kashmir. Another factor could be that all the money channels have dried up as the National Investigating Agency (NIA) has blocked all Hawala channels and the conduits who used to act as conduits to fund terrorism have been taken care of.
With Geelani’s resignation, separatism in Kashmir has been left without any postal address. People are asking Geelani, what did he achieve by preaching violence and hatred. Someone needs to ask the Hurriyat hawk why did he push so many sons of soils into the inferno of terrorism. What has he achieved by acting as a Pakistan stooge?
This should serve as an eyeopener for the people who still support terrorists and stone-pelters. Kashmir has witnessed enough of bloodshed it needs to stop. It’s high time for people to realize that Pakistan is not their friend but their biggest enemy who by pushing them towards terrorism has snatched their right to live a peaceful life.
Geelani’s exit is an ample proof of the fact that the veteran separatist at the fag end of his life seems to have realized that calling for shutdowns has not served any purpose. What he has done during the past 30-years was nothing but a wasteful exercise. Kashmiri youth who have taken up the arms and are under the illusion that they will bring Azadi need to bear in mind that terrorism is no solution and the path they have chosen won’t take them anywhere except they getting killed.
People who are still acting as stooges of Pakistan and are talking about United Nations resolutions are doing a big disservice to the people of Kashmir. They should see the writing on the wall that J&K is an integral part of India and no power can snatch it.
