Udhampur Police solve murder case, main culprit held

Udhampur, July 3: Police has claimed to have solved the murder case of Rahul bagat within 24 hours by arresting the alleged main perpetrator of the crime.
Yesterday udhampur police picked four persons for investigation of murder case and after investigation . Today morning they picked three more persons for questioning during which one of the suspects spilled beans and confessed the crime.
After this, cops took him to the place where he had hidden the weapon of offence which was too recovered.
The alleged main culprit Munish Singh son of Madan Singh resident of Dandiya in udhampur further revealed that his friend Mohd. Aslam too assisted him in the crime and now police is conducting raids to nab him.
Aslam is resident of Jojra Talab Udhampur and is doing catering work for the last four year. When contacted DySP Rohit who is investigation officer (IO) of this case , said main culprit was held and the family members of the second culprit also held for questioning to know about his whereabouts.
Udhampur police held press conference of this evening at ssp office udhampur during the press conference additional Supridendent of police informed that Aslam may be in Jammu as his mobile location points to that.
Police is also screening the CCTV footages of the places near the scene of crime to get more leads, he said
Yesterday panic had gripped the Udhampur town after this brutal murder in the broad daylight allegedly over a land dispute.
Relatives of the slain youth and some locals had also staged a protest demonstration after the murder by putting his body on road and blocked it for three hours thereby disrupting the vehicular movement in the area.
However, public has hailed police for solving the murder case in record time.
