4G Internet: A Dire Need Of Youth
7/7/2020 12:30:23 AM

Anita Kohli

During this epidemic when people are struck at home with lot of work to do by digital means, Internet is the current need of every Tom, Dick and Harry.
The demand of internet is at the peak at especially when it comes to playing online lesson, uploading files, videos, podcasts and other essential works. Under all these needs and requirements, 2G Internet proves to be a damp squib that works in a snail's pace and wastes a lot of time in waiting for things to be done.
Students, at this time have a lot to do on internet when it comes to attend their classes either via Zoom, Hangouts or Google classroom.
Their learning is totally dependent on internet. Teachers, even at this hard time giving their every possible effort to make sure that no student is left without learning. But the efforts of teacher becomes faded when the learning of students is hindered by poor internet connection.
Students are not able to enjoy online classes properly just because of this cause. Either the connection is lost or sometimes the teacher is not audible to the students. These things really irritates both the teacher and the taught.
Since Jan 15, 2020 we are continuously confronted with circulars about the extension of 4G internet but nothing till now is resolved in this matter.
Why the government is playing hide and seek with the people of J&K? Why the people of J&K are subjected to nothing but mockery and trials ? Where in the world are we living? Is this a Digital India? Is this how the government is planning about the New India? How shall these students learn under the shade of this 2G internet?
People are really obsessed with this poor internet connection.
But the question is How long this will go on? High speed Internet should be provided to every men and women who are working hard from home to make their future better and secure.
I, therefore, request you to kindly throw some light on the issue so that the matter can be looked into for seeking the necessary resolution.
