74 fresh positive cases, 10 recovered and 41 deaths so far in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA, July 9: Out of 240 positive cases, seventy four fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 931 active positive cases, cumulative cases crossed over 2218, while only 10 have recovered and 41 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date.
According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 9, 2020 (Thursday), In Baramulla district, since the outbreak of the pandemic diseases there were 37 fresh positive cases that were reported today including 02 travelers and 35 others, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases that have gone up to 1214, and the active positive cases stands at 677, and cumulative recovered cases are 506 including 05 recoveries today while as 31 deaths, next highest after Srinagar that have occurred so far in this district.
In Kupwara district, 32 fresh positive cases that were reported today including 03 travelers and 29 others while there is an increase in cumulative cases that have gone up to 676 cases, 211 are active positive cases, cumulative recovered are 676 including 05 as on date, and 07 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora district, 05 fresh positive cases have been reported in this north Kashmir district today, whereas 328 are cumulative cases, 43 are active positive, 282 are cumulative recovered, and 03 death has occurred so far.
Meanwhile in a positive gesture, Indian System of Medicine (ISM) today distributed immunity booster medicines among the employees at District Development Commissioner’s office Bandipora to boost the natural immunity of the field staff.
Divisional Nodal Officer ISM Dr Iftikhar Gazi said that the immune booster medicines are being distributed as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and following the direction of DDC Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir. Highlighting the role of immune boosters in Covid-19 pandemic, the Officer said that enhancing the body’s natural defence system (immunity) plays an important role in maintaining optimum health.
The State Bank of India branch unit Bandipora Wednesday handed over several COVID19 related equipment to Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir.
Chief Manager SBI presented laminated PPEs, testing kits, N-95 masks, Triple layer masks, sanitizers, thermal sensors etc to the Deputy Commissioner for onward distribution to frontline workers fighting COVID19.
