IWC distributes essential items among needy, felicitates corona warriors

JAMMU, July 11: Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Jammu organized installation ceremony of their club for the new session. Pooja Malhotra, has been installed again as the president by PDC Dr Santosh Gupta at the residence of the editor Nidhi Mahajan, while Preeti Gandotra installed as vice president, Daljeet Kaur as secretary, Radhika as treasurer, ISO Paramjeet Kaur and projects coordinator Meena Jaggi. On this occasion, IWC performed three projects by distributing need based items to the ladies of the slums located at Trikuta Nagar. Awareness lecture was given to them by Pooja Malhotra regarding personal hygiene and health. Saplings of trees were donated to plant near their jhuggis along with masks and sanitary napkins. Speaking on the occasion, Pooja Malhotra assured the public that the organization will contribute whole heartedly to justify the theme given by the International Inner Wheel chairman i.e. ‘hope’. She also added that serving the needful should be considered as an essential devotional practice of indirectly serving God. The club felicitated Nidhi Gupta, Anita Jolly, Jassi, Sudesh Abrol and Veena Bhandari, the members as corona warriors, who contributed their best during the lock down in this Covid-19 crisis. Mementos for corona contributors were sponsored by Natasha Jawahar, owner Roshan Jewellers Bahu Plaza.
