PCC castigates negligence of UT Govt to declare IB residents
7/15/2020 12:12:33 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, July 14: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress committee has taken strong exception to the utter negligence of the UT government to declare the areas /villages that qualify for the reservation under the category of residents of IB, even after lapse of lot of time and sought immediate necessary action, to make the youth eligible for the reservation in the ongoing recruitment process.
Taking serious note of the reports that the youth of the border areas who were included in the reservation last year, under the existing category of reservations in the category of residents near ALC , are not able to get the benefit of reservation due to the failure of the govt to notify the villages, /areas eligible for the said reservation despite loss of sufficient time, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that it shows the utter chaos and confusion in the UT administration and the level of disconnect between people especially youth and the UT administration on the one hand and the ruling BJP on the other, who are away from the the ground reality.
He regretted that some high profile BJP leaders daily issue statements in the media, highlighting their concern for the border people especially youth but were ignorant that the youth are deprived of such a benefit, despite announcements of reservations, in the absence of notification of the concerned villages. Few days ago also, it was claimed that the grievance of the youth residing near border (IB), regarding benefits of reservation in the ongoing requirements process, has been repressed.
Terming it a cruel joke with the youth of border belt of Jammu, samba and Kathua, JKPCC termed it total failure of BJP to represent the genuine concerns and the administration is totally away and disconnected from the masses. There is no mechanism to represent the genuine issues of the people with the concerned authorities, in view of the larger disconnect and lack of responsive administrative system. The political class is not being heard under the well planned strategy and directions of ruling party, which has confounded manifold the problem of common man.
There are numerous such glaring examples of the insensitive and non-responsive attitude if the administration and there is no one to take notice of the genuine problems and get them solved and repressed.
Party demanded that the UT administration should immediately take notice utter inefficiency of the concerned officers to notify the villages and ensure that the benefits of reservation are available to the eligible youth in the current recruitment process for different jobs and they should not deprived of the same in any manner.
