7/27/2020 11:43:47 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, July 27: JK Congress today joined the nationwide call of the party to hold protest against BJP led Centre Govt. over the issue of $Rajasthan and termed it as continued interference in the constitutional scheme of things and settled traditions, to topple the elected governments. The prominent Congress leaders held a simple protest in Jammu as well as in Srinagar City to join the nationwide call of the party, while following the guidelines as required. Led by JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir senior leaders held a symbolic protest outside Congress HQ Jammu, carrying play cards “ SAVE DEMOCRACY”, “SAVE CONSTITUTION- SAVE NATION” and raised slogans against BJP and Centre Govt. over the attempts to topple duly elected Rajasthan Govt. and demanded that the house be summoned to prove majority in the assembly. Speaking to media persons JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir said that the BJP has been working on the agenda of opposition Mukt Bharat, especially Congress Mukt Bharat, as the elected Governments are being toppled, one after another, by misuse of power by the Centre Govt. He said that it is insult of the mandate of the people and against all Constitutional and democratic norms. BJP is indulging in unprincipled politics and misusing power and influencing the office of Governor. Urging the people to rise and stands up for safeguarding constitution and saving democracy, Mir termed these tactics of BJP as undemocratic and unconstitutional and against the mandate of the people and against all democratic norms.
