ACB registers case against AC Provident Fund, Jammu in case of disproportionate assets | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 30: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu has registered a case FIR No. 11/2020 U/S 5 (1) (e) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C Act Svt. 2006 and section 120-B RPC against Parvinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Provident Fund, Jammu) on the basis of information that Parvinder has accumulated huge assets moveable/immovable which are disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt and illegal practices. A press release issued by ACB said that as per discreet enquiries and confirmation available with ACB the Assistant Commissioner (Provident Fund, Jammu) by abuse of his official position has amassed illegal wealth and raised the following properties in his name or in the name of his family members. This includes a building (benami property) in the name & style of Krishna Marbles & tiles at Karan Bagh in the name of his relative Himat Singh at Chatha, a vehicle JK02AT 6862 (Honda JAZZ) and vehicleJK02AW 0997 (ALTO K-10) in the name of Parvinder. “Vehicle CH01AK0245 (Audi Q7 3.0 TDI), vehicle JK02BD 0193 (bus), vehicle JK02CF 2121 (bus), benami properties in the name of Hardeep Singh Chandigarh. Vehicle JK02AK 4557 (truck) in the name of Ranjit Singh resident of Chatha Farm. VehicleJK02CF 4893 (Amaze Car) in the name of Simar Paratap Singh resident of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Vehicle HR26AT 1030 (Audi Q7) Benami Properties in the name of Kulbir Singh resident Gurugram Haryana 122001 are some of the properties owned by the officer,” reads the press release. The press release said the officer has also raised huge bank balances/valuables and other properties in his name or in the name of his relatives by indulging in corrupt practices during his lucrative postings which amounts to criminal misconduct punishable under the aforementioned sections of J&K P.C Act. “The Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu after obtaining search warrants from the Court Special of Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu conducted search in presence of Magistrate and independent witnesses at the house of accused public servant situated at Chatha Farm, Jammu. During search the ACB recovered incriminating material/documents regarding acquisition of movable as well as immovable properties disproportionate to his legitimate sources of income,” reads the press release.
