Over loading goes unchecked in Gandoh Sub Division even during Corona pandemic

Jammu, Aug 12: In Gandoh Sub Division of Doda District, the private transporters are openly violating the standing COVID-19 guidelines with regard to operationalisation of public transport. As per the details available with Early Times, the overloading in vehicles operating on various routes in the area including the stretch from Kahara to Tanta where a Tara Sumo bearing Registration No.JK06-7108 could be easily seen overloaded in a photographs available with the newspaper. A person could be clearly seen hanging from the roof of the vehicle while at the same time to avoid being from caught, the vehicle driver also erase the number from temporary number plate which is another violation of standing government order wherein the government has necessitated the use of high security number plate that also goes unnoticed to the concern authorities. When contacted senior police officials inform that after the matter came into notice, the FIR has been registered at local police station under Disaster management Act beside also under relevant section of law for overloading. It is pertinent to mention that Gandoh roads are vulnerable to accidents and hundreds of people in last over 10 years many people have lost their lives in various accidents on this route.
