| KU PG entrance test tomorrow: Separate exam halls for students with COVID like symptoms | | |

Srinagar, Sep 08: The University of Kashmir has decided to hold postgraduate entrance exams of the students with COVID 19 like symptoms in separate rooms to prevent the spread of infection.
More than 28000 students are set to appear for the entrance test to various post-graduate programmes of Kashmir University from tomorrow.
On September 1, the varsity administration said the entrance test will be conducted from September 9 to 27 September.
This will be for the first time that students in Kashmir will appear for any examination since the COVID-19 lockdown. All the educational institutions across Kashmir conducted the examinations online. Most of the students were either promoted based on the internal assessment or asked to attempt multiple choice question papers online.
Director Admissions Farooq Ahmad Mir told The Kashmir Monitor that a team of Kashmir University officials visited the exam centers and reviewed the arrangements.
“Masks and sanitizers have been dispatched to examination centers. Students who have COVID like symptoms have already been instructed to be in isolation. They should inform the authorities so that their examination will also be conducted in separate rooms,” he said.
Mir said all exam centers will be fumigated after every session. “After the morning session, classrooms and exam halls will be fumigated for the afternoon session. This will be repeated on every exam day,” Mir noted.
Similarly, more than 26000 students from Kashmir are appearing in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scheduled on September 13.
Around 70 educational institutions have been identified as examination centers in Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Budgam districts. |
