People express concern over RTO’s failure to implement registration norms | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 8: People have expressed concern over the situation arose out of the “Order registration of new vehicles at the authorized dealers end”, and hurdles created by RTO officials in issuing approval of Registration Certificates (RCs). According to press release, a meeting of Association office bearers was held today in which the Association members observed that as per the new policy, the uploading of documents for registration of vehicles has started at the dealer’s end and the certificates needs to be digitally signed by RTO before giving to the customers which are not being done ever since the new system changed from 4th August. “As per SOP the customer is supposed to get digitally signed Registration Certificate within 72 hours but some Junior assistants and few officers at RTO offices, don’t want implementation of these new reforms and are now pressurizing the dealers through brokers for huge payments in absence of which they withheld the registration certificates of customers which is illegal”, the Association members said. |
