DODA, Sept 9: As the Government of J&K has announced the dates for Jan Abhiyan ahead of the commencement of the 3rd phase of the ambitious flagship program of "Back to Village", the district administration Doda is bracing for the effective implementation of the grand public campaign.
In this regard, the District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting of chairpersons of Block Development Councils and Sarpanchs of all the blocks of the district.
During the day long program held in phases, the DDC Doda in detail discussed the various modalities for the successful implementation of the ensuing Jan Abhiyan program being held from September 10 to October 1, 2020. The DDC informed the PRI members that the Jan Abhiyan program has three vital components which includes Jan Sunvayi,Jan Adhikar Abhiyan and Unnat Gram Abhiyan.
The DDC said that the necessary arrangements have been finalized for the smooth conduct of the campaign which would witness holding of Block Diwas, public grievance hearings, assessment of development needs etc. He also explained the schedule of activities being held during the campaign.
Meanwhile, the DDC, in presence of BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanchs unveiled the maiden Coffee Table Book of the district titled District Doda: The Gem of Chenab Valley. He informed the participants that the book showcases the developmental interventions made by all the line departments during the last one and a half year.
The BDCs and Sarpanchs appreciated the persistent efforts of Doda Administration for ensuring the overall development of the district covering all the important aspects specially health service, roads, education and other beneficiary oriented schemes for the well being of the general population.
