Blind Murder Case Solved

Samba, Sept 9: District Police Samba has solved a blind murder case registered at Police Station Bari Barahmana with the arrest of accused person within 24 hours from the commission of crime. On September 7, information was received through reliable sources at PS Bari Brahmana that a dead body of female was laying near Raghunath Temple at main bazar Bari Brahmana in suspicious circumstances. Taking cognizance into the matter, an Inquest proceeding U/S 174 CrPC was initiated at Police Station Bari Brahmana to ascertain the cause of death. During the course of enquiry, the dead body has been identified as Rinku Devi wife of Chaterwali Singh resident of village Dollian Bari Brahmana. It has surfaced during the enquiry that the person namely Puran Chand resident of Bishnah had illicit relation with the deceased lady as he was living in her neighborhood. “On September 6, in the evening the accused Puran Chand called the deceased lady in his rented accommodation at Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana with the intention to sexually assault her. When the said deceased lady resisted him, he assaulted her both physically and sexually as a result she started bleeding excessively and subsequently she died. Later the accused Puran Chand took the dead body, abandoned it near Raghunath Temple at main bazar Bari Brahmana and fled away from the spot”, Police official said. “Acting swiftly, Bari Brahmana Police arrested the accused Puran Chand from Bishnah area within 24 hours after the murder. The act of accused amounts to prima facia offences U/S 302/376-A/506 IPC and accordingly a formal case FIR No. 194/2020 U/S 302/376-A/506 IPC has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and further investigation stared”, the official added.
