Modi Govt destroyed country’s economic structure: Allavaru
IYC launches “Rozgar Do” campaign
9/12/2020 1:03:21 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Sept 11: Krishna Allavaru, AICC Incharge Indian Youth Congress (IYC), launched the nationwide “Rozgar Do” campaign from here today to highlight the issue of rising unemployment under BJP regime and to impress upon the government to create job opportunities for them.
The campaign was launched in the presence of G.A Mir, JKPCC Chief; Raman Bhalla, Vice President, Ravinder Sharma Chief Spokesperson, Manmohan Singh General Secretary, Amarpreet Lalli General Secretary, Uday Bhanu Chib JKPYC President, Harsimrit Kour IYC Secretary, Rahul Rao IYC Media Incharge.
Talking to reporters, Allavaru said that the Modi government’s decision of demonetisation, its “faulty” implementation of GST and the inept handling of the COVID-19 situation and lockdown have “destroyed” the country’s economic structure.
“When Narendra Modi became the prime minister, he promised the youth of the country that he will give jobs to 2 crore youths every year. He sold a dream, but the reality is that 14 crore people have become unemployed due to the policies of Narendra Modi,” Allavaru alleged.
“Because of wrong policies of Modi government, demonetisation, faulty implementation of GST and then lockdown have destroyed the economic structure of the country and the truth now is that India cannot give employment to its youth,” Allavaru said. Allavaru also criticized the J&K Government for abolishing Self Help Group Scheme which has directly affected approximately 16 thousand local unemployed engineers. He further criticized the government for abolishing the result of J&K Bank PO recruitment, termination order of paramedical staff and health workers under SRO24, not-filling vacancies of 50,000 announced by the then Governor of J&K on fast track basis as not a single jobs given but those in temporary jobs were either disengaged like paramedics or not paid neither regularized, in different government and semi government institutions, despite repeated promises, while those in self-earning mode like Self Help Groups were rendered jobless whereby 16000 engineers are without livelihood.
GA Mir said that the country is witnessing all-time low economic growth and employment rate has dipped to an all-time low. He alleged that the Centre was not taking any “effective steps” on the pattern of NAYAYA, to improve the economic situation of the country He said that all sections of society in J&K are facing worst difficulties but the youth are the worst hit due to great unemployment and the anti-youth policies of the present dispensation.
Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla slammed BJP Govt for acting as a mute spectator to the sufferings of J&K people. BJP’s tall claims of creating job and employment for the youths has turned mere hoax, he said and blamed BJP for the falling growth rate of the country. Ravinder Sharma, Chief Spokesperson while appreciating Youth Congress said that post 2014, only our party has raised the issues and questioned the non-fulfillment of the promises by the Modi govt but there is no response, as BJP only talks about youth during elections.
