AJKPC delegation calls on DC Jammu; reiterates demands, submits memo

JAMMU, SepT 14: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) submitted a memorandum of demands to Deputy Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan during a Public Darbar held here at PWD Guest House Gandhi Nagar today.
The delegation of AJKPC led by Gurdeep Singh Saini, General Secretary AJKPC and Sarpanch Panchayat Gandali of RS Pura submitted a memorandum of demands and apprised her of several issues and problems being faced by the people residing in rural areas.
Saini highlighted various issues and demands including the condition of the building of Panchayat Ghar Gandli has been ramshackle hence needs renovation, Aadhaar Facility Counter and Common Service Centre (CSC) in Panchayat Ghar, left out Villages of Border areas including hak Nanka, Gandli and Rathana which fall within 6 KM from International Boundary should be Included in the list for the benefit of reservation, staff at Several Panchayat Ghars, Geo Tagging of PMAY should be reactivated so that the beneficiaries could get the benefit of the scheme, upgradatIon of the Government Primary School Gandli to Middle School since being the only and oldest school in the area, provide broadband facility at every Panchayat Ghar, establish Common Facility Centre (CFC) in every Panchayat Halqa, Road connectivity to all the villages of the Panchayat.
During a threadbare discussion at the Darbar, the delegation demanded Health Sub Centre/Dispensaries to be set up in every Panchayat Halqa for providing basic health amenities to the people, Seeds/Fertilizers/Pesticides to provided to farmers for increasing the productivity of the crops, Mini Solar Plant to be be installed in every Panchayat Halqa and demanded special Recruitment Drive to be conducted at Panchayat level. Saini said that there should be uniformity grant of Rs 1 crore per year in every Panchayat as Panchayat Development Fund (PDF) besides there should be play ground and children park at every Panchayat and at border villages community bunkers must be completed immediately.
