9/15/2020 1:49:07 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch Sept 14. Youth National Conference on Sunday appealed Government of India to press alert button in view of sudden spike in number of Corona virus cases.
In a press statement, Youth NCs provincial president Ajaz Jan said that COVID19 is taking ugly turn in Jammu province where cases have increased manifold in last few days.
" The number of positive cases is in front of all and we all are well aware that majority cases go undetected as people still refrain from sampling." Jan said.
He further said that shortage of beds in all the hospitals, especially COVID19 dedicated ones, is a clear indication that we are passing through a peak situation where all possible arrangements need to be in place.

" Unfortunately, the situation is contrary to tall claims as Government claims to have installed 38-40 ventilators in GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri but on ground there is no oxygen plant not oxygen pipeline and things are going on the mercy of temporary arrangement in terms of oxygen cylinders whose number is feared to be inadequate." Jan further said.
He also said that repeated demand for opening of a COVID dedicated laboratory in Poonch is finding no takers. " We appeal to Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to pay complete concern to the prevailing situation due to Corona virus as present situation need dedicated approach of entire official machinery." Jan further said.
