Kisko Pyaar Karun? Junaid Mattoo gets two offers!
9/29/2020 12:05:33 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 28: Even as the senior Peoples Conference leader and former Mayor of Srinagar Junaid Mattoo was recently expelled from the party, he has got offers from two parties.
Sources said Mattoo has been offered membership by two parties presently more active in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said one of them is a recently-floated regional party and the other one is national level party.
Sources said the regional party has offered Mattoo to be their spokesperson and that the other party is also offering the same chair at the national level.
It was reliably learnt that both the parties are in touch with him and that he is likely to take the decision in the coming days.
“One thing is certain that he will join one of the two parties in the coming days,” said a source close to Mattoo.
It was reliably learnt that Mattoo has friends in both the parties who are helping him get offer for membership.
Source said Mattoo has decided to discuss the matter threadbare with his well-wishers before taking a final decision on the issue.
It is pertinent to mention that Mattoo was expelled by the Peoples Conference last week.
Mattoo had started his political career from the same Peoples Conference but had subsequently joined the National Conference where he was seen close to Omar Abdullah.
But after the collapse of the Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janta Party alliance in 2018, Mattoo developed strained relations with the NC and was finally expelled from the party.
He had joined back the Sajad Lone’s party which made him the key candidate for the local urban body polls and made him contest the elections in the Srinagar Municipal Corporation from three places.
Foreign educated Mattoo subsequently won and was elected as the Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
Despite repeated attempts, Mattoo was not available for comments.
