JK reports 569 fresh cases of Corona Virus, nine more deaths come up in union territory
Positive cases 83633, active positive 10466, recovered 71845, casualties 1322

SRINAGAR, Oct 11: The positive cases of Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 83,633 after 569 fresh cases of virus were reported today. Following nine more deaths the death toll due to virus reached 1,322.
Srinagar district reported 147 fresh cases of COVID-19 followed by Jammu district 108 cases, Budgam district 48 cases, Baramulla district 42 cases, Anantnag district 35 cases, Poonch district 24 cases, Pulwama district 23 cases, Kupwara and Ganderbal districts 20 cases each, Reasi district 14 cases, Bandipora, Udhampur and Ramban districts 12 cases each, Samba and Kathua districts 11 cases each, Kulgam district 10 cases, Rajouri district six cases, Shopian and Kishtwar districts five cases each and Doda district four cases.
Baramulla district reported two fresh Corona Virus deaths followed by a death each in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and Doda districts. So far 893 virus related deaths have taken place in Kashmir valley with the number of such deaths in Jammu division being 429.
The Jammu & Kashmir administration through the media bulletin informed that 569 new positive cases of novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), 207 from Jammu division and 362 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 83,633. Also nine COVID-19 deaths have been reported; five from Jammu division and four from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 890 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 460 from Jammu Division and 430 from Kashmir Division. Out of 83,633 positive cases, 10,466 are active positive, 71,845 have recovered and 1,322 have died; 429 in Jammu division and 893 in Kashmir division.
Out of 18, 39,765 test results available, 17, 56,132 samples have tested negative till date. Till date 6, 12,741 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 24,668 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 10,466 in isolation and 48,306 in home surveillance. Besides, 5, 27,979 persons have completed their surveillance period.
The bulletin said that Srinagar has 16,650 positive cases, 1,696 active positive, 14,638 recovered, 316 deaths; Budgam has 5,399 positive cases, 713 active positive, 4,597 recovered, 89 deaths; Baramulla has 4,889 positive cases, 1,487 active positive, 3,272 recovered, 130 deaths; Pulwama has 4,235 positive cases, 288 active positive, 3,874 recovered, 73 deaths; Kupwara has 3,905 positive cases, 623 active positive, 3,212 recovered, 70 deaths.
“Anantnag has 3,791 positive cases, 376 active positive, 3,346 recovered, 69 deaths; Bandipora has 3,686 positive cases, 354 active positive, 3,291 recovered, 41 deaths; Ganderbal has 3,155 positive cases, 277 active positive, 2,848 recovered, 30 deaths; Kulgam has 2,339 positive cases, 90 active positive, 2,206 recovered, 43 deaths; Shopian has 2,094 positive cases, 108 active positive, 1,954 recovered, 32 deaths,” reads the bulletin.
The bulletin said that Jammu has 15,268 positive cases, 1,373 active positive, 13,673 recovered, 222 deaths; Rajouri has 2,987 positive cases, 505 active positive, 2,439 recovered, 43 deaths; Udhampur has 2,493 positive cases, 237 active positive, 2,233 recovered, 23 deaths; Doda has 2,387 positive cases, 628 active positive, 1,720 recovered, 39 deaths; Kathua has 2,266 positive cases, 125 active positive, 2,112 recovered, 29 deaths.
“Poonch has 2,005 positive cases, 693 active positive, 1,291 recovered, 21 deaths; Samba has 1,978 positive cases, 427 active positive, 1,527 recovered, 24 deaths; Kishtwar has 1,520 positive cases, 178 active positive, 1,331 recovered, 11 deaths; Ramban has 1,452 positive cases, 108 active positive, 1,333 recovered, 11 deaths and Reasi has 1,134 positive cases, 180 active positive, 948 recovered, six deaths,” reads the bulletin. Out of 83,633 positive cases in J&K, 9,165 have been reported as travelers.
