EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Oct 23: Apparently a warning for future elections, thousands of agitating daily wagers for want of regularization of their services, today gathered outside BJP state headquarter, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Bhawan and asked party leaders to come clear over their pending demands of regularization.
At least two thousands daily wagers of various government departments today gathered outside Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Bhawan Trikuta Nagar Jammu and shouted slogans against the state unit of BJP for back-tracking.
“Till 2014, they (BJP leaders) exploited our anger against the then state government and converted us into their political strength, since then they have changed their behaviour towards our plights”, said a leader of the agitating daily wagers while addressing the gathering.
“How can you forget, you sat with us during our protests and rallies, but since the day we voted to power in state and centre as well, you started ignoring our suffering, it was backstabbing and you have to pay for it”, they said, adding that reminding BJP leadership of future elections.
“Till 2014, like BJP we blamed Kashmiri leaders for delay in regularization of services, but after 2014 now decision making power is with BJP, and they should clear their stand, whether want to fulfill what they had promised or ignore our genuine issues like Kashmiri leadership”, they said, adding that if time actions are not taken, the agitating daily wagers would be forced to further intensify their ongoing struggle.
They also lambasted the UT administration for its failure to implement all schemes like other UTs of the country in J&K.
“They always talk about, UT but they never bothered to extend all benefits of others UTs of country in J&K, here we the daily wagers are getting nothing, however, you enhanced pay of permanent employees, but forget when it comes to daily wagers”, they said, adding that the administration should take right decision with any further delay.
“Most of us are one the fag end of our retirement, your injustice towards should end here with granting regularization of our services”, the leader said, adding that bureaucracy in the absence of political government has become a source of negativity for us.
