Aayushman Bharat registration camp to continue for next two-day at Ward No 20

JAMMU, Nov 4: An Ayushman Bharat Yojana camp was organised on the third consecutive day at Valmiki Colony, Ward No 20 Jammu.
The registration camp under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana was organized by Rahul Kumar, Councillor Ward 20 wherein hundreds of residents were registered under the Central sponsored health scheme.
Kumar said Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is a scheme of the Government of India to provide free access to healthcare for 40 per cent of people in the country, adding that people can use the program access their own primary care services from a family doctor.
“Everyone needs additional care and AB PM-JAY provides free secondary health care for those in need of specialist treatment and tertiary healthcare for those requiring hospitalization,” he said.
Kumar said that the health scheme is a revolutionary decision taken by the Union Government in the larger interest of poor people of the country and this scheme which also provides to the people a sense of security.
Kumar informed that this camp will continue also for the next two days on the demand of the people of the area.
He added that people who until were left to fend for themselves are being covered under the scheme and the scheme provides cashless and paperless access to services for the beneficiaries in any empanelled hospitals, both in public and private sector across the country.
Kumar appealed to people to attend the registration camps being organized to cover left out people so that everyone can avail facility of this scheme.
