| VC CUJ chairs national level expert group on implementation of NEP-2020 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu has been nominated by University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education as the Convener for the Expert Group on Formulation of Implementation Plan for National Education Policy 2020 especially on the theme “Teacher Education” under the broad theme of Integrated Higher Education System. He chaired the First national level Meeting to chalk out the desirable strategies for appropriate implementation of various domains of teacher education in the context of NEP 2020. Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, CU Jammu, introduced the theme of panel discussion.
He also briefed the members of the committee, which formulated for implementation of NEP. He hinted the various issues regarding in the line of implementation of NEP-2020, which accommodates problems related to pedagogy, teaching-learning and other rooted facilities. He further posed a questioned the stakeholders that What model to be implemented to achieve NEP at different geographical areas in that context can we have single size for all. Prof, Nighat Basu from Central University of Kashmir voiced about the vocational education, highlighted the mahatma Gandhi views on it. She insisted on that NEP-2020 given much importance to Vocational Education, 60% of children can have opportunity to get on VE for which Theory and Practice to be given equal importance. |
