However, the vehicles had to leave Zig, Qazigund gateway of Kashmir, between 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs, he said adding no vehicle will be allowed after the dead line.
He said Heavy Motor Vehicles(HMVs) were allowed to ply from Jekhani Udhampur for Kashmir valley. Vehicles carrying security forces are allowed to ply from Jammu to Srinagar. He said traffic will remain suspended on Friday to allow agencies to carry out maintenance and repair work. Traffic on the highway will remain suspended on every Friday till November end to allow maintenance of the highway.
He said 86-km-long Mughal road, connecting Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region, was also through for traffic. Vehicles carrying fresh fruit will operate between 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs on the road.
