JAMMU, Nov 20: Citizen's Forum President R K Chadha said there is nothing wrong in calling Gupkar Gang to Gupkar Alliance, Gang means number of people form a group or gang to work together. Word Gang can be used anywhere as per your suitability. We welcome the announcement of DDC elections in J&K UT by the center government which was always avoided by all elected members previously for the reason they never wanted to pass on the political power to lower level of Panchayats and districts.
Chadha Said the result was MLAs and MLCs doing jobs which was to be performed by Municipal Committee only like repair of Lanes and drains and black topping of small patches of roads and then putting their name plates on every repair. There are hundreds of name plate costing more than the repair cost standing on every nook and corner of Gandhi Nagar Constituency costing more than the repair budget. District Development Council polls have galvanised the Jammu people's interest and brought a cheerful atmosphere in the region. DDC will take decision on development issues as it replaces a selected committee comprising of law makers and bureaucrats. Hence we request people of Jammu to vote for educated, technically qualified and experienced in development issues candidates only. It is not necessary to oblige Political Parties at the cost of development of Jammu. |
