Jammu, Dec 30: District Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (DGPC) toy informed that the Parkash Utsav (Birthday) of 10th Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji would be celebrated on 20th January.
Addressing media persons, DGPC members said that a grand Nagar Kirtan (subject to permission by Administration) will be taken out on 18th January, 2021 from Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu.
S. Jagjit Singh, President, DGPC Jammu requested that keeping in mind the restriction of COVID-19 we have curtailed the route of Nagar Kirtan and have decided new route which is as following and adhering to the SOP of COVID 19.
Jagjit Singh, President, DGPC Jammu further requested that devotees are requested to take precautions and follow SOPs issued for COVID-19, i.e. wear masks, keep distance etc.
S. Fateh Singh, General Secretary, District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu requested the public transport system i.e. matador, auto etc. to extend their cooperation by taking alternate routes to reach their destinations. He also requested to the Businessmen' and their Associations to install welcome gates for the Nagar Kirtan (Religious Procession) passing from their markets. He also requested all the religious, social organisations, departments concerned and public at large to extend their wholehearted support and cooperation for the smooth procession of Nagar Kirtan (Religious Procession) and celebrations of Gurupurab.
