JAMMU, Dec 30: Today Deputy Mayor JMC, Adv. Purnima Sharma distributed free dustbins to the commercial shops of ward no. 01. Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Purnima Sharma said that we are providing dustbins free of the cost to the Shopkeepers and appealed to them, to throw the garbage in the dustbins only and not outside in drains or lanes and only to handover the garbage to the Sanitation workers when they come collect that garbage. She also appreciated all the stake holders and IEC team for awaring the public.
Tinna Mahajan, Secretary JMC, stating some important facts regarding the initiative and solid waste management said that all the citizens of Jammu are to take part in swachta sarvekshan 2021.The main objective of the swachta sarvekshan survey is to ensure citizen participation in solid waste management and making jammu city garbage free and open defecation free. Office Secretary Mandal), Vijay Kumar ( President booth no. 02 ward 01), ShubhLata Sharma ( General Secretary JAMMU District Mahila Morcha), Gopal Magotra, Brig Singh Salathia and other prominent members of ward no. 01 were also present. |
